Aw i'm so glad to see that you have another ham! No ham will ever replace Neptune or Apollo, but now you can give this little guy the same amount of love and fuss as you did those two!

Thank you all again for the lovely comments.

Well, Pluto seems to be settling in okay. Keep telling myself he's only been here just over a day....he seems a bit more skittish today, was going to try and get him in the playpen but maybe it's too soon. What do u think....give him a day or two more to settle?

He's taking food from me and I have stroked him a couple of times without him (or me) jumping!

Got to remember small steps with our tiny one!

Perhaps it is all the new smells making him a little skittish today. The tissue trick would get him used to your scent quickest and then he will be easier to handle.

The lady at the rescue has started the taming process whilst we were in Cyprus (getting married! - which was amazing).

We'll let Pluto settle in and give him an amazing life.

So, here is the gorgeous Pluto (excuse the blurry pics - didn't want to scare him with the camera)!

Oh my word! He is a stunning hamster! He looks like my last hamster Baymax! What a cutie!

Welcome to your forever home Pluto, you are so going to be spoilt with so much love, care and treats.
Congrats Bec on bringing Pluto home, he's absolutely beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing him grow and grow.
Sounds like he's settling in well to Neptune Palace - bliss!

Oh! Oh! Oh! Bec, he's gorgeous! A black and white hammy. Oh he's beautiful. Neptune and Apollo would definitely approve. Congratulations on the wedding and the new furry friend. Pluto has no idea what he's landed in. I have to admit, I'm thoroughly tickled for you guys. I am so looking forward to watching this little guy grow up on HC.

@coco....I've done the tissue trick and will continue to do it....thank you.

We are taking things slowly with him, we know we need to be patient as he still is timid and so tiny! Well compared to Neptune....I think most hamsters are smaller! And he is still a baby, worked out he's around 10 weeks old.

Here he is trying sweet corn for the first time!

Pluto aka Tiny Chops!
