Meet Master Harvey - My Dazzling Beauty!

Glad it's a little cooler there now Lizzy, it is a worry when it gets this hot, I'm sure Master Harvey is very happy he has such a thoughtful mum to take care of him.

Glad to hear you and MH are coping with the heat Lizzy, it has been so warm. I've been grateful that at least the breeze has been taking the edge of it so it has only gotten really hot a couple of times this week. Artie however can never have enough tissue for his nest, he never fails to amaze me A zip up fur coat would be good for the hams though

At least the heat hasn't put him off his routine or all his breakfasts and I'm glad you've been enjoying plenty of cuddles and whisker kisses

Just catching up with Harvey - I am so pleased to hear he is still doing well and that he is still his very cheeky food loving self (well excluding porridge). It was so cute hearing how he demanded the porridge again even though he knew he didn't like it. Glad to hear you are both coping with the warm weather. It so lovely hearing how Harvey enjoyed his strawberry once it warmed up. Just love how he is picky with his food and want things a certain way!

Master Harvey The Master of Keeping Cool!

The last couple of weeks I've really struggled with the heat but, not Master Harvey, he's adjusted to it and kept to his routine, it's been a lot easier to watch him coming out of his house at set times and go to his cooling down areas. He did have 2, a cage corner and his ceramic flowerpot but, he amazed with a third, he dug away the carefresh behind the flowerpot and chills out, I sat and watched him have a little nap and I felt so much admiration and love for my boy.
During the night, he comes out into his polkadot tin and likes to stay in it while it's on the sofa, we have a little chat and Peek-A-Boo. The polkadot tin has been another cool spot for him.
I did a cage clean during the week, during the early hours and he dozed in his polkadot tin in the cage and I did a clean around him, every do often he would wake and peek out. Even when I'd finished I left the tin in the cage as he was asleep and I didn't have the heart to wake him. Of course when he woke get wandered out and gobbled up the piece of romaine lettuce, spinach leaf and baby chard.
We still make time for our daily cuddles and I so enjoy the whisker kisses.

Awww, Master Harvey, of course he is the Master of Keeping Cool! His routine sounds very sensible for keeping cool but making sure Mum would have his treats ready for cuddles and whisker kisses!

It's good to hear that Master Harvey is still his usual laid back self, I gave Ghost a full cage clean and light remodelling of said cage and boy did he have a strop about it, but he is happy again now after he found his labyrinth to hide in.

Master Harvey and The Vanished Green Bean,

Thank you Coco, Cypher, Rads & Serendipity!
Well the last few days have been a lot cooler and we had a good downpour of rain, big change in Master Harvey, he's been more active during the day and entertained me with his moving under his carefresh and occasionally popping his nose out and well I tell him I can see him and his gorgeous nose and he stays still trying to fool me that he's invisible lol!

A few days ago, I steamed him some peas, carrot & green beans, one of the green beans was about 4 inches long and I let it cool and as Master Harvey was waiting I held it out and he took and started nibbling away, I thought I'd get a pic and I turned to reach my phone and as I turned back, I could see him stuffing it, all 4 inches of it into his mouth. He looked so blooming smug as he'd beaten the camera and I got the giggles at being outsmarted once again by my dazzling boy. He then ran to his house and made a lot of noise.
The next time I'm going to be ready lol!

Ha ha - the vanishing green bean! That recent pic I took of Newt eating the baby corn - he did contemplate trying to pouch it and had a go with one end but sensibly sat and nibbled it instead. They are like children in a sweet shop with a "large" vegetable I think - lol.
