I'm sure you and Harvey are enjoying the slightly cooler weather at the moment and the rain - I still haven't had any rain of any sort for over a month I was forecast thunderstorms on Friday but they never came. So I'm jealous of your rain!

I can just imagine your handsome Harvey stuffing the green bean into his mouth - it must have been adorable to watch but a shame Harvey wouldn't allow you to get an adorable photo! He doesn't like to be photographed does he - I hope you manage to get a photo next time as it sound so cute!

Like SKB I am very jealous of your rain TL. It is baking hot today and set to remain this way all week. Every strategy used to keep things cool here. So pleased Master Harvey does not have to cope with this.

I had heard that the weather in England is to be so very hot, make sure you all take extra care.
I had been hoping for a thunderstorm here. As I sit here typing this I'm listening to Master Harvey digging in his cage, he did peek out of his house but went straight back to his rearranging lol!

Good to hear it's cooled down a bit there & MH can enjoy being more active again, it was cooler here yesterday, at last! Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Just catching up with Master Harvey. Sound like you've both been having lots of fun! I'm glad you're both enjoying the cooler weather - here on the South coast of England it's still super hot! Last night was 28 degrees! Right now it's 29 degrees, and it's not even lunchtime yet!

Aww, just catching up with what's been happening with you and marvelous Master Harvey! I'm so sorry that the temperature has been quite unbearable and truly wish that hams had the opportunity to have a zip fur coat as you described. It would definitely make things much easier for them and less worrisome for their loving parents. I'm glad that the clever MH has mastered the art of keeping himself nice and cool with all that you have for him to enjoy. That is such a relief that he is not deterred from his usual busy routine of hamstering around and getting his multiple breakfasts in as well. I'm sorry that he had a nightmare the other night, but I'm relieved that he was able to be comforted by you and enjoy his treat. All of your sessions of hide-n-seek sound wonderful, and I love that he is always up to giving you tons of whisker kisses and receiving plenty of cuddles from you even in the warmest of weather. He is such a loving ham and your bond with one another is amazing and truly touching. I had to laugh at him trying to convince you that he was invisible; he is SO silly indeed. Lol, MH shoving the long green been into his cheek pouches prior to you taking the pic and then giving you that smug expression; I just love his cheekiness!!!! Hopefully, he will allow you to capture him in action doing this and you will be able to share it with all of us - fingers crossed!

I hope that the temperature remains cooler.

It's been really nice to catch up on Master Harvey! Glad to hear he's been coping with heat well and is keeping at his usual routine. He's one tough little ham!

Ah what a shame you didn't manage to catch a photo of Master Harvey with his bean! Glad to hear he has been coping well with the heat, I have been finding it unbearable but it sounds like he has got it all sorted!

Master Harvey & PORRIDGE!
Master Harvey tasted porridge and after several attempts at offering him human porridge and turning his face away in disgust, he happily guzzled 2 spoonfuls of Heinz Creamy Porridge.
I picked it up by mistake and I was going to take it back but, curiosity got the better of me and I was ready to giggle at his expression, Instead I was speechless, he held on tightly to the spoon while he devoured the baby porridge.
Well, I did a little dance around the living room spelling out porridge, Master Harvey sat watching me thinking I'd lost the plot lol! He was awarded some pumpkin seeds & a cashew nut and I told him I was so proud of him.
He's had it a few times since and each time both paws grip the spoon and licked clean. The absolute joy of being a Ham-Mom is even more rewarding when they leave you speechless. I even enjoyed the porridge whisker kisses xxx
