I tried to look at the photos but it says they've been removed.

Edited the original post now Photos should look like hamsters now not brightly coloured blobs!

Surprisingly he's still got half of it left in his food bowl! I'm quite impressed it's ended up back in there too because he was throwing it around all over the place last night

Lol! I can just imagine him throwing his monkey nut around. He looks very intent on cracking it in that third photo. Is the half left in his bowl an empty shell? Charlie likes to discard the empty shells in all sorts of places. Sometimes they'll only eat the bit they want though, and if the second nut is tricky they'll save it for another day - maybe that's why he left it in his food bowl, although you would think he would hoard it!

yeah it's the second nut! I'm surprised he didn't hoard it, he loved playing with it! He also ate a load of the red and green biscuit things which he always left in his old mix so I'm really pleased

Yes they do seem to like everything in Harry Hamster - even if most of it does get hoarded lol. If they don't think it's worth hoarding they leave it in the bowl I reckon. I think Charlie only ever eats from his hoard, in private. Like having lots of snacks available in the bedroom! And just empties the food bowl to fill his hoard up. That's my theory anyway! The pieces are a good size for Syrians with Harry Hamster. I tried some others but they had lots of itty bits in which he just left - I think they were a bit small for him.

aww bless him he sounds like such a character!
Alfie definitely munches away at his hoard in the day time, but he does eat from his bowl - i think the size helps, he likes to sit in it and pick through to eat his favourite bits
Last night he went into his sputnik before I'd put his veg in and looked at me like 'ummm... where is it?!' When I popped some carrot in he jumped straight into my hands, ignored the carrot and wanted a cuddle! First time he's been so keen to get straight into my hands, normally I scoop him up from the bath or he walks into them from his ball
