She is gorgeous! Nice to see her out in her cage. She looks quite large - is she? Or is the photo just deceptive?

I think I may have a bit of a situation on my hands. Now that my new hamster has been here for a few days, it turns out Darcy might be boy crazy and I suspect things may go down hill from here. She has worked out that a new hamster has moved in and is not too far away from her which resulted in Darcy being kinda naughty this evening. Bar chewing, trying to find ways to get out of the cage, listening very intently towards his direction, climbing the bars and doing weird things in the hopes he would notice her. I tried to get a few photos of her acting up but she quickly cottoned on to what I was doing and made it look as though she wasn't trying to get a boyfriend and kept running away from the camera. Hahaha

Haha clever Darccy cottoning on like that! Does she make noises? My new girl Kashi makes little sneezy squeeks that send the boys crazy! They stand on their hind legs with their ears like little radars pointing in the direction of her cage.

Is the ruffy a good cage? I am impatiently waiting for the barney to arrive for Kashi as I have found it to be the best cage of all mine so far.

Darcy isn't generally vocal unless she is feeling agitated, nervous, stressed or scared. The Savic Ruffy is a pretty good cage! It is really sturdy, the bars are very difficult to move, just about fits a 12 inch wheel with a few inches spare base and top and the base is deep enough to fit two bags of ten litre bags of carefresh or three ten litre bags at a push. I just wish it is was one hundred centimetres long like the new Barney since Syrian hamster items take up most of the room which is somewhat frustrating to me. It would also be a better cage if the big door was on the front instead of the top since I believe hamsters would tame more easily and faster if it was.

Know what you mean about front opening doors and about the extra space. Wish the barney had a LARGE front opening door. Its still lovely though.

Kashi only does her squeeks when the boys are up and about!

What is your new beautiful girls sleep pattern like? Does she wake up when your boys wake up? I am only asking because Darcy was up at 11am and didn't go back to bed until 2pm which was purely because she wanted to impress the sleeping newbie. Battle of the females in this house including the dwarfs! Haha
