I have literally just got home! (It's now 8pm!) Sweep spent the entire journey sleeping, apart from popping out earlier when I first got him. He is now safely with the sitter, and I can finally stop worrying about him! I assume they are back at their's now as I left them around 5:30 ish. Hopefully there will be some updates soon!

Hello,

Its sweep here,

I arrived in London this evening and have been told i will be allowed to settle before the hamster sitter touches me.
I'm feeling very shy and am currently sitting in bed, I loved the train ride with my mum Pinkneon.
The hamster sitter will update everyone with pics on Monday once i have settled in.

I hope all my hamster friends are well!

Hello Sweep, you have come much closer, how exciting. Loved meeting you at the show in September and was allowed by your lovely Mum to hold you after you won your beautiful blue rosette prize. Be a good boy and settle down in your new home so that Mum does not worry about you. We all look forward to hearing how you are getting on.

Just caught up with your thread and I'm so glad to read that Sweep is is safe hands now where you know he will be well look after. And also it nice that you got to spends some more time with Sweep today.

Thanks, yes I can stop worrying now! (For all those confused, flakeyflake was a member on HC a while back, and has been Sweep's "hamster sitter" the times I was away and when I had that operation, and she is now the person who has Sweep and will be updating the thread mostly!)
I have however realized that some of his toys were not given back, nor was his Christmas stocking "from Santa Paws". However, I'm not even going to ask them about them because I don't want the drama, so Sweep will be getting a few extra Christmas presents lol
Sweep was well behaved today. The carrier felt very light for some reason, so I did actually check that he was in there! I am glad he popped out once and saw me though, and hope that it calmed him down a bit as he'd have been so confused bless him. When I went to the store this morning they didn't have any of those fruit bags with apple in. They had one with melon in it, which someone had suggested, however the melon was mixed in with pineapple bits and as I wasn't sure if it would then be suitable for him I didn't get it. All I could get was some carrot sticks, so I put three in the carrier, which he of course ignored! I was worried about him getting cold, and didn't have anything with me to put over the carrier (I usually cover it a bit) which would have helped keep him warmer. However he buried himself down in his carrier so hopefully he was ok. Although he slept the whole time, I am glad I got that time with him. Lots of people on the train asked what was in the carrier - one person asked if I had a cat in there?! The ticket man came over, looked in and jokingly asked if he'd eaten my ticket - which immediately made me panic thinking I'd lost it, only to look down and find it in my hand!!

So pleased to hear Sweep is safely settled and in good hands with Flakey Flake. Charlie sends him Christmas wishes (Charlie doesn't know it's not Christmas yet).

I can't believe they didn't give you all of your toys back AND Sweep's stocking! That's so horrible! I could understand if you never got Sweep's eaten food back

, but toys is very excessive (unless they were damaged to a dangerous level).

I'm so pleased that we can still get Sweep updates on here - it's really nice of you flakeyflake

Sounds like the journey was ok. Has Sweep been weighed recently, Pinkneon or Flakeyflake? Since you mentioned Sweep seemed a bit lighter.

What a day you've had Pink, you can now relax knowing that Sweep is in safe hands with flakeyflake.
I would like to say hello to flakeyflake and to thank her for taking Sweep and I'm looking forward to updates.
Pink, these so called friends that have kept some of Sweep's toys and his stocking has me thinking that they're going to get a hamster for the kids.
The way they've treated you is awful and you don't need friends like that.

P S. I told Harvey that Sweep is with flakeyflake and that he'll be able to keep in touch with him.
