UPDATE:

Ok so i have been talking about tubes a lot on here, and well i will just continue to do that first lol. So with the tubes situation, milo loves them, but a little to much sadly. It got to the point that i would never see him anymore or get to play with him as he would only be in the tubes. And when trying to get to him, as the habitrail tubes come apart it just scares him and i feel terrible for it, ( but i have never seen him run so fast but that's besides the point). So i decided to take them out of the cage for now and add them later as a surprise as he really liked them. Is it wrong of me to take them out? I want him to be happy and enjoy his cage but I also want to be able to see him. I think i might use the tubes as an out of cage play time toy. That may be better? Anyways I just took them out yesterday but left the rest of his cage the same so its not too stressful.

Also yesterday i was watching the voice with my mom, and of course milo and i had him on my lap and out of nowhere he started climbing me and started to snuggle right on my chest. It was the most adorable thing ever, he had never done that before and i felt so loved <3. My dad tried to get me to move the car in the midst of it but i just couldn't because i was so in awe of the fact that he did that

When Sophie gets stubborn about staying in her tubes, and if I have to get going, sometimes I'll just take the section of tubes she's in and leave it in her cage, so she can come out when she's ready.

what do you mean ? i tried to leave milos tubes in but i feel like im forcing him to come out since he never wants to leave! he even got too lazy to go down and pee in his corner, so instead he started to pee in one of the additions the tubes has and all his poop started to fall down one of the tubes lol

Well I only have tubes that go from the top of the cage to the floor... so maybe the set up is different. But say the whole thing is 4 feet long-- what I'll do is take the half that she's in and separate it, then lay that down in the cage and close the lid. Usually when it's separated like that, its not as interesting to her and she'll come out on her own. I just like doing it that way rather than forcing her out.

I would imagine your hamster would do the same... eventually come out if you separated the tubes somewhat (but not all the way) and lay them in the cage when you're ready for him to come out. Just an idea
