Re: Jude's Rehab
Aww Jude is lovely and I am glad that she wasn't going to let you leave her, even if you were only meant to be driving lol. I'm sure she will gain more weight with you caring for her and her bi-coloured eyes make Jude even more special.
Looking forward to reading more updates on her rehab with you.
Mweekie xx

Re: Jude's Rehab
She's a little furry cutie . She's lucky to have you to fatten her up a bit!! How's the other girl doing?

"Trying not to get too attached" Heehee. She's already a special heart ham you just haven't realised it yet.
She is lovely and definitely a heart thief. Looking forward to hearing more about her.

Re: Jude's Rehab
Thanks for the lovely comments about Miss Jude. I've passed them on to her, but she was more interested in the food delivery. She certainly has a good appetite!

I haven't heard from my friend today (we've both been working). She was more hunched and squinty than Jude so may be brewing something.

Shhhh! I was a dreadful foster carer for rescue - I ended up adopting them.

Re: Jude's Rehab
Miss Jude says good morning!
She's bright eyed, full of beans and has a nice clean bottom still. She's getting the hang of making a nest and has rearranged her little settling-in cage so it looks like a hurricane has struck - so she must be feeling at home
She's drunk a good amount of water (and has pushed her substrate up against the spout so more has soaked in. I think I have a cheeky monkey on my hands). Now she's rehydrated her weight has gone up to 83g.
Her sister Frances was in worse condition than her. My friend took her to the vet for a check over as she was a bit touch and go last night. Thankfully no treatment other than TLC is needed. Fran weighs 98g (up from 74g) so Jude has some catching up to do.
She's still lovely to handle though gaining in interest to explore when she's out of her cage. I don't want to push her too fast with moving cage size so as not to stress her or knock her confidence. I'll keep Jude on plain hamster food for a week, but may well move her up a cage later in the week if she seems to need it.

Re: Jude's Rehab
This is a lovely thread, what a sweet hammie. Willow's weight had gone down to 120g the week she died despite me feeding her soft food and porridge and all sorts of things. I'm glad your little girl is bouncing back already, she is young isn't she so hope she thrives now! So glad you've got her.
