Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Dear Sir Mocho,
So looking forward to you coming for dinner this evening, dinner will be roast turkey, courgette & courgetti and broccoli tenderstem.
Master Harvey is excited his best ham-friend is visiting.
The express jet will drop you off at the flat where I'll be waiting to carry you upstairs.
Love Lizzy xxx

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Thank you TL, dreamtree, Serendipity and BP. Whatever my little Mocho has been up to, it has put him in good spirits. A great deal of nest reorganisation has gone on and I even spotted him in his Sputnik. Have not seen him up there for ages. It is lovely just to see him hamstering around ok - on the evenings when I am allowed to see him at all that is!

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Dear Lizzy
Your delightful invitation has just arrived as you promised. That means that I will have been rumbled by Mum who has been wondering why I have been sprucing things up around here. I had her working hard last night clearing up after my efforts. I will give my coat a final brush up before collection time. So looking forward to the excellent menu you are putting on for me. I am sure MH and I will be able to put the hamster world to rights as we nibble away on it all.
Until later on
Love Sir Mocho x

I'm so glad that Sir Mocho has been in an exceedingly chipper mood and has been going to his Sputnik, too. He is such a fun-loving ham, and I'm glad that he is doing so well. Enjoy your amazing dinner together, Sir Mocho and Master Harvey!

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Dear Lizzy and Master Harvey
Once again I want to thank you for your wonderful generosity. The hamborghini to took me to the Express Jet in some style and comfort. The flight was equally comfortable and right to your doorstep. How wonderful to be able to spend some time nomming away with my best ham pal. All the delights of Lizzy's excellent cooking were laid out for our enjoyment. I was even permitted to pouch any leftovers and bring them back to my own nest.
We did indeed set the hamster world to rights. There was background music provided by a recording of the EHO performance. That brought back such memories....We raised a glass of hampagne to absent friends. Then it was time for the return journey.
I have had a long sleep today but it was worth every moment.
My deepest thanks and love to you both.
Your true friend
Sir Mocho xxx

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Dear Sir Mocho,
Master Harvey & myself loved seeing you yesterday and catching up. So pleased you took some leftovers home with you, MH got some earlier this evening where he ran out of his house and stuffed his cheeks then back to his nest.
That Hampagne was so tasty too.
I'm glad you caught up with your sleep today and feeling refreshed.
No doubt MH will be on the hamnet later filling his friends in on your visit.
Big love & hugs Lizzy xxx

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
My little Mocho is very elderly now. The fitch on his wheel is still there in the mornings. In the last days he has become rather unsteady on his paws. He is fine going up and down the wide shallow slope to his water bottle, but last night he tried to go up the narrow bendy bridge to his Sputnik. His paws missed the side and he slipped off luckily right at the beginning.
So tonight I have made alterations, taking away any way up to his Sputniks. His food bowl is beside the water bottle instead of on top of his house. He got confused and went up to look for it there but I gently scooped him down again. I have put in a second water bottle ( the free standing Living World one) by his house but he went up to the original one tonight. He was puzzled by the loss of the way up from there but then pouched his food and went back to bed. His porridge with meds and veggies vanished without trouble from outside his front door. His potty needs seeing to regularly as usual.
So, nothing is wrong except old age and he manages the basics but is in his nest most of the time. He has lost more weight but is eating ok. So all I can do is keep him comfortable and worry of course.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
He is sounding like he is older and frailer. I think it's hard when we have to make changes for their safety, when they don't like changes. He sounds like he is doing ok coming out to get his food and water, and sounds quite happy in his old age. Does he ever use his snooze cube?

I know it's impossible not to worry Coco but it does sound as though Mocho is still happy & comfortable, he couldn't wish for better care.
