You have all been quite remarkable and taken so much trouble to send such thoughtful words of comfort. It is still hard but you all understand and I know it will slowly pass with time. I have left a summary of the Cushings treatment on Mocho's memorial thread. If the spread of this knowledge can be part of his legacy here, then the battle he fought will not be in vain and will benefit other hammies.

All of your tireless efforts and encouragement for Sir Mocho and his courage and determination against Cushings Disease were most definitely not done so in vain. Each and every single precious moment that you had together was a successful battle won against it. No ham-parent or hammy could have fought harder or loved one another more. Yours was a story of unconditional and unsurpassed love and devotion, and it will live on for the ages now that it has been so well written here on HC. Future generations of hamster owners will come to read his lovely thread and will find themselves truly touched and inspired by it just as we all have. Hugs to you, Coco! xxx

What you done for Mocho when he was diagnosed with Cushings was wonderful, with your love and care he got through it with your evening routines, the disguised meds and tasty treats. You already had a bond but it grew and I felt that magnificent bond.
You've opened our eyes to Cushings and that it can be treated with medication and unconditional love.
You are a wonderful woman with a heart of gold xxx
