Sorry there are so many up and down moments, Coco. Luckily, he was able to gobble up the porridge and SS biscuit. Probably, he peed in the same place instead of his potty since he is so used to going to that location. I know this so extremely emotional and hard for you, but you are doing the most amazing job catering to your sweetheart. Plenty of huge hugs to you, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that he will continue to have the desire to eat, drink, and keep himself clean. Whisker kisses to you, Sir Mocho, from Eros because she loves and adores her dear ham-friend. xxx

I always smile when I read about Sir Mocho loving his porridge.
I have a feeling he used his regular toilet spot.
I know your emotions will be up and down Coco, remember we're all here for you and I so appreciate your updates on Sir Mocho.
Big love & hugs from myself and MH xxx

I do think it can be hard to guess just what they may like to eat at this stage Coco, I remember having that concern with Flynt when some of his favourites went untouched but it's good to know that Mocho is still enjoying his porridge & softened biscuit, you're doing such a great job of tending to his every need.
It's likely he did use his usual pee spot, clean little man & still sticking to old habits when he can.

I am sure he knows you are there tending to him and looking out for him. Maybe he has got a taste for warm foods now (the cooked bean, porridge and soaked science selective) and is less interested in cold ones? Yes it's a bit of a worry when favourite veg is left but he is slowing down and maybe sleeping more and maybe just coming out when he's hungry. Also the potty moving may have made him cautiuous and staying in his house. Such a shame they can't talk, but he is in good hands and he knows it.

I remember reading that when they are ageing in this way, that sometimes just giving them things that aren't considered healthy, as a special treat is ok. Like a bit of cereal or rich tea biscuit - but on the other hand he seems to enjoy his porridge and science selective so much maybe that isn't necessary.

My dearest little Mocho has gone. He slipped away to the bridge, quietly in his nest.
Yesterday was not good. He was still here late afternoon when I checked him. However he took nothing of the veg and porridge etc that I left very close by. Even those things that he had eaten only the day before. So I knew that the business of living had become too great a burden for my little man. This morning he was curled up tight in his forever sleep.

His memorial will follow soon.

I'm so sorry Coco, I'm sat here sobbing my eyes out, I know Sir Mocho was deteriorating but, it has still come as a shock. He was a true warrior and will be missed terribly.
My love to you and that I'm thinking of you at this very sad time. XXXX

This is not Sir Mocho's memorial rather it belongs in his thread.
I want to thank those who have contributed to his thread and provided something for me to return to. Also the fun we have had casting films thanks to Serendipity.
Recently though special thanks to Thin Lizzy for the brilliant idea of the EHO concert last month. The fun brought much happiness in the last weeks of his life.
It has allowed me a flight of fantasy:-
That the Hamborgini came and took frail Sir Mocho to the bridge
That the EHO serenaded him on his way while crossing
That he turned to wave a paw in farewell
That he looked back to his Mum who would not know the moment of his crossing but who would be heartbroken by it
That he turned and gathered strength as he reached the other side
That Jarvis, Loki and our hamily were waiting for him there
That Serendipity's Charlie was there too with other ham pals
That last, but by no means least, TL's Twinkle, his only girl Ham, was there to meet him at last and now they can all spend time playing together.

Smiles among the tears for them all but especially for Sir Mocho.

I hugged my Twinkle cushion telling her Sir Mocho was on his way and could she be there to meet him and hug him tight and take care of him.
