Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Oh, how wonderful that Sir Mocho managed to grab the runner bean in a flash. So glad to hear that he is enjoying eating his delicious veggie. I hope that the porridge will be equally enjoyed in no time. I know that this must have done your heart good since it has been so difficult for you. Keep up the good work, Sir Mocho! We are all certainly rooting for you.

Glad Mocho came and got the runner bean - he clearly still enjoys food. Maybe a bit of cooked veg is the way to go. I often found they prefer it cooked to raw. It does suggest he prefers softer things as well.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
The overnight news is encouraging. I am realistic in that I know time marches on but I just want my little boy to be cosseted and comfortable.
After the runner bean, I left both his porridge and a selective science biscuit made into a soft paste ball, at his bedroom door. Both had gone this morning. Also I checked his potty and after 2 days since the last check, I found evidence of more than once visit. So I spot cleaned it and moved it to a few steps from his house entrance. I was mortified to think of him having to totter across his cage. Such a dear little boy, intent on being clean.
Finally I have left him a quartered slice of baby courgette this morning as it was such a success yesterday.
I changed his water in the nearby bottle, but if he has had any, it is a tiny amount.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
It's difficult to know whether they drink or use the bottle as it's usually at night when we don't see. I think if he has been coming out to use his toilet, it's likely he has had a drink. Good for him that he doesn't have to walk so far to the toilet although he may go and pee in the same spot anyway! It'll be interesting to see if he accepts the toilet in the new position. Yes he's a lovely clean tidy little boy xxx

Sir Mocho keeping himself clean and tidy so made me smile, so pleased he ate the stuff you left for him, he'll be kept hydrated with the veg, porridge and the biscuit that you made into a soft paste. I so love the routine the both of you have, it truly melts my heart.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Sir Mocho and your bond is so heartwarming and touching. I'm so happy for you that he enjoyed last night's dinner as well. How sweet that he is keeping himself so clean and tidy, and what a relief it must have been for you when you saw the signs of multiple visits to his toilet. That is always a good sign that he is keeping himself well hydrated due to all of your loving efforts. He couldn't ask for a better Mum.

Good to hear Sir Mocho enjoyed his bean Coco, sounds like he still has the want (even if he is finding it harder) to eat and keep himself tidy and clean

Yes, he certainly is the brave and determined trooper with such great willpower; he is a true inspirational hammy.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
A mixed day. The morning the courgettes pieces were untouched. I replaced them with fresh peas early evening but also untouched. That really concerned me and so I checked his nest. Mocho is still with me. I quickly put his porridge and a SS biscuit in a soft ball in place of the veg. Both went quickly. There is no sign of his potty being used in 24 hrs so maybe he went to the place it has always been.
