Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Dear Sir Mocho,
I would like to congratulate you on reaching 2 years and 6 months, we always like to make a huge fuss of you and I'm sending you extra pumpkin seeds with melted cheese on toasted granary. That will be sent along with succulent roast chicken, peas, babycorn and courgetti.
Master Harvey has insisted he personally delivers it and will eat with you after 7pm. He knows that you need rest and will leave when asked to.
Big, big hugs to you xxxx Lizzy

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Dear Lizzy
Sir Mocho sends his greetings and his thanks to you. He does indeed reach his landmark age of 2 and half years today. He has been seen to have a drink this morning.
Last night he came out at about 10 pm and was clearly making an effort. He must have sensed the arrival of his best ham pal Harvey with all the goodies to eat. I hope that Harvey understood how elderly Sir Mocho is now. The decline has been very marked in recent days. Sir Mocho enjoyed the visit even if Harvey did most of the talking before leaving him to sleep as he was full of the best food.
It is eye prickingly hard now.
Love from Mocho's very worried Mum xx

Oh Coco, my eyes welled up reading that, I'm finding it hard and he's not mine, I know how difficult this is for you watching your gorgeous boy slowly decline. He's been through a lot what with his Cushings and he proved what a little fighter he is. He's my hero.
Sending the both of you love and hugs from myself and Master Harvey xxx

It makes my eyes fill too Coco, seeing the lovely Mocho decline must be so hard, he's such a tough little guy & has done so well, he really is such a great age now & I know he is living his life as happily & comfortably as he could possibly want but it's never easy seeing them age rapidly & I really feel for you.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
I am so sorry to hear Mocho is declining and send him happy birthday wishes for his 100th birthday (based on a year being about 40 human years) What a wonderful achievement to have reached his 100th year, and how lovely he celebrated it with company (albeit in spirit) from Master Harvey, and also with your care.
Mocho is continuing as always, with his little habits, it sounds, and is a trooper. It is hard to hear he is declining, but I am sure he is happy, even if frail. Hard for you. Sending lots of ham-hugs.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Thank you Lizzy, cypher and Serendipity. You all understand this stage. Mocho reminds me of Charlie and his frailty although Charlie was always a bigger boy. It is a year since Cushings was diagnosed and the treatment has kept the symptoms at bay. His coat is thin because of age but no bare patches or black skin areas with fragile skin. So he has fought well. He is a little hunched in the last couple of days. I am keeping him fed and watered and as warm and comfortable as possible.
Thank you for your good wishes and comfort.

Happy 2 years and 6 months to you gentleham Mocho
I'm so sorry Coco that he seems to be aging so suddenly, it really is so heartbreaking. He's done so so well with the cushings and it must be so difficuilt to see him looking so frail. He's such a big part of HC. I know you will be doing everything you can for him, he couldn't wish for a better Mum xx

Master Harvey sends ham kisses to Sir Mocho and to you also Coco, he knows how much you're doing to ensure he's comfortable and cosy.
Big love xxx

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Happy belated 2 1/2 year birthday, Sir Mocho. What a warrior he is to have reached such a nice old age. I'm sure that he appreciates all the love and extra care you give him, Coco. My eyes are welling up with tears, too. I know that this must be so hard for you to watch your sweetheart like this. It is heartbreaking to know that there is nothing more that you can do to make things easier for him besides what you are already doing. My heart and hugs go out to you and your charming Sir Mocho. He is so dear to all of us on HC, and all of our prayers are with you both. Big hugs! xxx

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Thank you BP, TL and dreamtree. Last night Mocho had his porridge and veg at his house doorway. I don't think he has been out of his nest since. I have put some nut/seed treats inside the first room so he only has to reach out from his nest room.
