Easy mistake to make with the meds Coco! It's hard to think of everything when the weather is that hot, my brain doesn't work at all lol! Glad Mocho managed ok & that he's doing so well he doesn't even need another visit to the vet.

I wouldn't have thought about putting it in the fridge either. Bless Grandpaham for keeping Mocho cool. Good to hear he got through the hot spell.
I had to explain to Harvey how Mocho couldn't have cheese as it's protein and not suitable because of his condition and he looked at me and then went and done some running on his wheel. He decided that because of the hot weather he would do more running to build up the connection to Mocho and let him stay cool.

So are so understanding AP, cypher and TL! I felt so guilty that I served up the meds in porridge last night. I had just changed the water when I heard Mocho come out for a drink. I quickly put the porridge in the microwave and of course Mocho could smell it. Instead of going back to his nest he went for a short walk on his wheel while waiting for the porridge to turn up! He scoffed the lot. But it was interesting to know he does still go in the wheel a little. Perhaps he was trying to crank up the hamphone to speak to Harvey!

Awww so sweet that he could smell the porridge! It's great that he is prepared to eat the meds in porridge (even that method failed with Mushu - though I know you have never had a problem getting Mocho to take his meds) and even better that he is feeling well enough to wait up for food! He is so spritely, despite his age

Lovely that he is still using his wheel He is a lucky boy having a Mum who takes such good care of him and give him his medicine and porridge daily. The hot spell caught us all on the hop I think - although we had it less than most.

Thank you AP, TL, Serendipity, BP and Hamsterita. I made the vet nurse laugh when I asked her to tell the vet that Mocho needed more meds and to thank him for his care but he did not need a visit as he was quietly hamstering along. She loved that word!
Dear little Mocho, he has been out tonight and eaten some of his meds. It takes more than one visit to the bowl to finish. But he was rewarded with his fresh peas and a monkey nut. All pouched once taken delicately from my hand with his paw resting there to steady himself. Then off to his nest with his treats!
