I took the opportunity to clean out the whiffy part of his house and oldest part of his hoard. When I put Mocho back in he was was very suspicious of his house and considered matters very carefully before returning inside to bed. The strips of white toilet paper remain untouched at the entrance! For now.

Harvey's the same after I clean his house, he approaches the bridge to his house and then stops before the entrance, has a good sniff then enters lol!
A message from Harvey, hey Mocho, so glad to hear you got on well at the vet, this positive news should be awarded with special treats. I'll hamophone you later xxx

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Mocho is doing fine. His coat has not got worse in the last month so I hope the thinning was due to warmer weather and being rather elderly now. I am keeping an eye on it though. He takes his meds every night mixed up in his baby food/porridge and now expects it as part of his evening routine. When he emerges for a drink I swiftly make it up and he goes and waits beside the spot where he knows I will put the little bowl down. Veg and other food come after so I know the dose has gone first.
My daughter visited for Easter Sunday and after our evening meal, out came Mocho for his drink. She was feeling hamster deprived after the loss of Jarvis. She went and opened Mocho's cage and bless him, he did not object to being lifted out by her and they had a little cuddle and handling. He is very sweet natured if a little reclusive. So he was well rewarded by her with his favourite pumpkin seeds.

Aww I so love yours & Mocho's daily routine, it always makes me smile. He's an absolute sweetheart. I smiled at him letting your daughter hold him, he must've sensed she was missing Jarvis.

Thank you cypher BP Serendipity and TL. Yes, my lovely little man was very well behaved with my daughter. She commented that he was very chunky. He was always a bit bigger than Jarvis but at 168 gms is not a big boy but rather a nice size.

Chunky sounds nice and healthy Mocho certainly is a lovely little man and sounds like he has very good manners I am sure he is comfortable with your daughter as well and maybe senses she misses Jarvis.

I'm glad Mocho is doing ok. I hope he continues like that.
It was so nice of him to let your daughter cuddle him. She must miss so much Jarvis.
