Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Yes, he did look at me with that stare lol! But, he did rub his face and whiskers on the tablet after as if to say he didn't mean it.
He's a very sensitive ham is Harvey.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
I'm sorry that I missed Jarvis and Mocho's birthday. I was following the post, but I wasn't in the mood to enter and post, so Happy belated birthday for you both!!
I couldn't see the pictures until now, because I couldn't see the photos without join the forum with my username, and they are lovely.
As I told you several times, you must be taking good care of Mocho because he doesn't look ill at all. He looks like he's doing great.
Congrats again!!

Mocho looks totally adorable in those photos! And he has a lot more hair than Charlie did at the age of two So nice to see he still has his yellow pot He really is a beautiful boy.

Thank you Serendipity, I did take his best angle though! Recently I have wondered if he is thinning more but it is around the scent gland area. Also the vet said that when Spring came his coat would thin normally but it might be a bit more for him. He will need a vet review at the end of March.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Sad to report that Jarvis went home this evening. It was lovely having him to stay. This time he was so sweet and wanted to come out and play around on more than one evening. Even when I put him back in his cage he climbed out again. He has never behaved like that before. I had a last play with him after we'd coaxed him out with seeds in my hand. Hi s cage had to go in the car and he needed to go in his carrier so I took that last chance!
I looked at his coat and there is no doubt that Mocho is thinner across his lower back and not just around his scent glands. Jarvis has a coat with no obvious thinning.
Must make that vet appointment for later this month. Sure now it will confirm Cushings but the meds are doing a great job.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
Sorry Jarvis had to go - I'm sure you'll see him again soon. He sounds like he has gained in confidence now he's older! I also think the meds have done a good job with Mocho. Hope the news at the vets is good. But for a 2 year old hamster some hair loss would be normal anyway, so hopefully it's not such bad news xxx

It must have been sad to see Jarvis go, hope you'll be seeing more of him soon, sounds as though he really enjoyed his visit this time around
I hope the news at the vets is good too, it isn't unusual for them to have thinning fur by 2 yrs though & all hams are different so you can't really compare something like that, Mocho has been doing so well I hope it's not a sign that the cushings has progressed at all.

Re: Please may we present-Jarvis and Mocho...
That was a long stay for Jarvis, maybe too long for Mocho lol!
You totally spoiled him and he spoiled you.
Fingers crossed for Mocho's next vet visit. He's done so well in taking the meds daily and you've both bonded.
