Blanco the Syrian Hamster.... the new man in my life

So.... it has been a busy week or so for me after completing my bin cage in a week so that I could get my Christmas present early... a new hammy for the family

Meet Blanco everyone. He is approx. 3 months old and we got him from a pet store (no hate please) and so far he has destroyed everything inside the cage, loves the wheel and got stuck in his homemade water bottle holder twice that I ended up removing it! There isn't going to be one quiet moment ith this one, I can see it now!

before the water bottle holder was chewed!

He's lovely

Looks like a sable roan to me, pretty colour. Sounds like a troublemaker, hahha. I like his pink bedding!!

One little thing, he'll probably outgrow that wheel fairly quick, may need to upgrade to around an 11"

His new wheel is coming tomorrow a 12" silent spinner, I can't wait!! Today I woke up and found that he had managed to chew a hole in the mesh that I put on his cage but hadn't escaped... luck was on my side there so for the moment he is in a temporary cage enjoying being a spider-ham!!

He seems to be which is interesting. Even though I got him from a pet store because of his size and his lack of anxiety around people I have a suspicion that he originally came from a breeder which is definitely a breath of fresh air after my last Syrian and my girls

This photo is great, definitely one for the mantelpiece! He's a wee stunner!
