Default ratchets thread

i noticed a lot of threads for hamsters and have been reading them. thought i would start one for my boy instead of starting new ones.
he is 8 months old and very nosy. i got him some toys for his cage because he doesnt like the tubes.
he has a burrowing box. a climbing thing which he loves going in the top and looking out the window. a maze which i have put treats for him to find.

so far he has been exploring his new layout. the maze is his favourite at the moment.

He does look very sweet
His cage sounds good too, what wheels have you got though, sorry I can't see the vid.
There's a good thread on suitable wheels here.

The video says that it's private, so I can't see it either.

She's lovely

forgot to publish video have done it now.
he is a syrian hamster.

cypher its the biggest they had at pets at home but ratchets grown so will be getting him a new one when i get some money. the one that came with the barney cage is bigger but he always uses the old one. am going to take it out and put the barney one in. he has decided to live in his maze.

Seen the vid now, he does look sweet but you're right about that wheel it is way to small, odd that he likes it! Hope you can find something he enjoys running in.

looked at the thread and i have seen those wheels but was a bit wary of it being more enclosed. he is having a lazy time today so not been to look at the barney wheel.

Enclosed wheels tend to be very good, especially with a more nervous hamster.

It really isn't safe to let him run in the tiny wheel though,as it will do far more harm than simply not having a wheel
