Default Alvin's thread!

Hey! I'm so lucky that I'm going to adopt Alvin! I'm going to adopt Him next month. I'm buying Him from a profesional breeder! He is a Golden dominant spot long haired hamster. I cant wait to Get Him! He is the smalest in the litter but He is super healthy. I'm not sure if I'll keep his name, but most likely I will! I will update this thread with pictures and info about Him!
He is going to live in a 90cm lenght and 55cm with and height diy cage!
I'll keep you updated!

Alvin sounds gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing pics once he arrives. DIY cage sounds like a good size - did you make it?

Yes I made the DIY cage! Unfortunately I got a sad Message from the breeder Alvin had to be put Down since he was so weak. But I Get to choose another boy! So I need your help wich one should i choose? They are all long haired: a mink long haired boy, a Be cream long haired boy, a cinnamon dominant spot long haired boy. I dont know how they would end up looking like so wich one should I choose? His name would still be Alvin.

Okay, so I choose the cinnamon dominant spot lh hamster! His name will be Alvin in honour of the Alvin that got put down.

I'll update you with cage pictures, toys ect and of course pictures of Alvin when he arrives!

Hey, another update!
I'll clean out the cage today from the past hamster! I'll also clean the toys, so later I'll hopefully be able to post pictures of the cage!

It has been a while since I updated this thread. It is now two days until my little boy comes home! I'm so excided! He looks super healthy from the pictures that the breeder send me! Tomorrow I'll be preparing his cage so hopefully you'll get some pictures of it tomorrow! But okay I'm driving for about 15minutes, what should I pick the hamster up in? I have a small traveler should i use that? Or should I use a travel cage which is much bigger?
Baiiii for noow!

If you can make sure you clean out the cage real well with vinegar too to disinfect and lots of dish soap to get any smell away from the previous hamster as other animal scents can stress the new hamster.

If you have a choice on which hamster to pick out I'd go by which hamster is the most curious about you rather than fur color. I've given this advice before but people don't seem to like it but it has always paid off for me as I've learned the hard way.
