I am so proud of my little Biscuit today!
First off I had to take her to the vet today (nothing serious, just a free health check). She got a clean bill of health
. She did NOT like the vet at all, which i was expecting anyway, especially considering I had to wake her up to take her. She was fairly settled in her travel cage on the way home though and actually looked like she was falling asleep at one point. I put her back in her cage when we got home and left her alone for a couple of hours so she could go back to sleep.
We've only had her 13 days so we are still in the process of taming her. We haven't handled her for a couple of days because I've been working night shifts but my fiance has still let her out in her ball in the evenings. I was worried that this, coupled with the trip to the vet, may set her back in her handling and taming but it seems I may have been wrong! We let her out in her ball for a bit today and then handled her a bit too and she was SOO good. She seemed so relaxed with us crawling up our arms and from hand to hand. I even let her off my lap and onto the floor for a little but was able to scoop her up again without getting bitten. She just seems so much more relaxed being handled now and I couldn't be happier!
We also weighed her for the first time tonight. I was quite surprised at how little it was though she only weighs 96g. Can anyone offer any input as to if this is ok? She's only 3 months old so I guess she is still growing. The vet didn't mention any concerns about her size.
Here are some pics of her from tonight: (I had her on my lap in the last pic)
