My new rescue, Jaxon
This is Jaxon. I bought her last night.
She is 10 months old and the little girl who had her had lost interest. She named him Jackson to find out later that he is a she. I have decided to keep the name but spell it differently.
She is hand tame and I have put her in the Savic Hamster Heaven as there is more room and I have put a large wheel in for her as her cage was a medium P@H cage with a 5" wheel and her back was arching.
She had slept in the tubes last night instead of her house so I have now removed the tubes. Today, they were full of tissue and food. She managed to put 4 x whole monkey nuts (uncracked) in her pouches as well as some pumpkin and sunflower seeds. lol.

Oh yeah. I never noticed that before. Strange.
She is walking around the cage with a bonio in her mouth looking for the opening to hte tubes that is no longer there. I have confused her. lol.

Re: My new rescue, Jaxon
They know when something is missing Lol.. Teddie does that, too when I detach the tube that connects her two cages together. She climbed up the side of the cage once and tried to crawl into the hole on the top where I detached the tube. Lol.

Re: My new rescue, Jaxon
When I picked her up out of the cage, her coat is like an irridescent colour. You hold her one way and her coat is one colour, hold her another way and the light catches it differently and it is a different colour.
I have just been stroking her.
The advert said there was bathing sand but there was none. i have put a bath (butter spread tub) with sand in it and she is loving it. I think my wife will have to get a ceramic one (or two) from dunelm when she goes again.

Re: My new rescue, Jaxon
Thanks.
Yes. it is Screech's cage. Screech is now back in her original one and I have put the tubes in for her as she loves them. I will not be moving her out of this one as it was originally hers. Jaxon needed a larger wheel and it was the only thing I could do. I think I will look for another large cage.
I have put the top tubes back on the cage for Jaxon as she would not settle and was nearly out of the holes where the tubes fit to. I put the stoppers on but she was pushing and allsorts at it and I noticed it was coming off the fitting. Putting the tubes back on was easier than hunting for an escaped hamster, I think.
