Autumn has been chewing a hole in the plastic for a while and it woke me up. I found the hole, and covered it with paper and stupidly blu tac thinking she wouldn't be able to get to it. Surprise surprise she did, and she ate a tiny amount!
What do I do? Monitor her? Or take her to the vets in the morning? Will she be okay??
She's just constantly chewing and scratching, I'm worried about her. There was also blood on the paper when I took it down-I took it off as soon as I noticed she got to the blu tac.
Any help would be appreciated!
She has a big cage with toys and a wheel. She just won't stop chewing!
According to the wiki article (second paragraph) it's safe to swallow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-TackI'd still keep an eye on her though just in case. Is it possible the blood on the paper is from a paper cut she got trying to get through it? Does she use her toys? I would try rubbing something tasty on them to see if she give them more attention
Thanks-she seems perfectly fine now! I don't think she ate it, as I pulled it away as soon as I noticed it. I am such a worrier, and was worried about her for a couple of days. She is her normal self though now!
I've rubbed olive oil on the cage to stop her chewing, and this has done the trick. She has a bigger 12 inch wheel now and it's so nice to see her using it
