Creampuff's Thread
Creampuff is a rescue hamster that has been here just over two weeks. She is roughly 8/9 months old and she was handed over to me because her previous owner was moving to accommodation where pets weren't allowed.
She is a gorgeous cream roan female Syrian with such a bright and wonderful personality. When I'm in the room, she is often the first hamster to come wake up and sit at the cage door waiting for attention. Usually, she is also the only one, since she seems to like being up in the daytime more than the other hamsters I have here.
I'm taking her handling in baby steps right now. She is not a biter, but she is a bit shaky when being handled, I can only put it down to not being handled enough previously so she is a bit nervous. However, she has also been very willing to sit quietly in my hands while being stroked.
When she first arrived, she was pretty vocal when I approached her cage and would 'screech', luckily she doesn't do it any more and she has settled in well here.
She is looking for a new home now as I feel she could thrive with the right person and I'm hoping her forever home won't be far around the corner.
For now, here are some pictures of the little sweetie.

Re: Creampuff's Thread
SinNyx, she's absolutely gorgeous. I'm in love. The fourth picture is just too much. I'd be in total danger of hamnapping if I lived in your area.

Oh, if I lived near you!!! What a pretty hammy. I love her balancing act in the fourth photo. SinNyx, what is the green thing on top of her cage? I see she can get up there through the tube. Does it detach?

Re: Creampuff's Thread
@DrMck, it's the penthouse that comes with the hamster heaven. I usually take them out so they do detach and the space becomes an extra cage door. At the moment this little lady is using is as a sort of attic for storage, so I've kept it in her cage
I am sure she is squeaking a little thank you to everyone. Since she wakes up in the day time it's pretty easy to get more pictures, I'll be sure to spoil you all with more soon

Re: Creampuff's Thread
Hello Creampuff. I love the photos of her nibbling.
Did you rename her or was that her original name?

Re: Creampuff's Thread
It's lovely to have her for company, she is always so willing to come out. I really want her to find a home soon, of course, the right one for her.
@amie, it was a nickname given to her when bringing her home as I had no idea if she had a previous name or not, so it's stuck.
