Re: I went in for a wheel, came home with a hamster
2LittlePuds - Just the light, I think it's reflecting off the green pipe a bit lol! I'll take a better picture later when she's awake (she's asleep behind her water bottle currently, silly girl)
Serendipity - I love Whisper, Nieve and Bianca, as that reminds me of the Rescuers. As well as being similar to my very first hamster's name, Bijou.
I also like Sugar as it reminds me a bit of a game I really love (OFF) haha. I pondered that one!

Re: I went in for a wheel, came home with a hamster
I have never had a hamster that was so easy to tame and eager for attention in this way before.
I've been trying to let her settle but any time I'm so much as near the glass she's at it wanting attention! Since she's supposed to be settling, I just opened the glass and let her come out on her own, rather than shoving my hand in the cage... she was straight on my hand to get out and at one point straight up my sleeve. Usually it takes a lot of coaxing to get them to step onto my hand with all 4 paws, but she's not at all bothered.
She's a brave, curious little girl

That's lovely glad she's settling in well. How's gino reacting to a female in the house?

Re: I went in for a wheel, came home with a hamster
Other than stopping and wondering what the noise is from time to time (the rig with the habitrail wheel sure does rattle haha) he doesn't seem to notice. Though I think he could smell her on me, because I had her out, shortly after got him out, and he kept licking my fingers. :P

Re: I went in for a wheel, came home with a hamster
Yeah they're stacked They look nice stacked!
Gino on top, Little Girl (as I've been calling her temporarily) on the bottom!
Her cage looks a bit bare, but I think part of that might have to do with the wheel size. :P Doesn't take up as much cage space. Lol.
When I get paid though they're both getting new toys, wheels and houses, and I'm going to find something to make platforms out of (lollipop sticks aren't going well for me haha...) so it won't look bare for long.

Re: I went in for a wheel, came home with a hamster
My kids have wooden blocks that i were going to use as legs with a piece of wooden floor over for a platform until i decided to make one fully out of flooring. Ive also seen people use cheap jenga blocks for platforms.

Haha. I bought another one "just in case" and look how it ended! Lol. They really do look lovely stacked though (And one can never have too many hamsters... in my eyes, anyway. )
