Re: Little Luna
Luna likes peanuts! She made me laugh so much. I know this seems odd but as a first time hamster owner she surprises me with each new thing she does haha.
And here she is enjoying a little treat she found. Not your most photogenic look there Luna

Re: Little Luna
One of the great things about hamsters is that they continue to surprise you and make you laugh no matter how long or how many you've had. Her ears are wonderful!

Re: Little Luna
So I've had Luna for almost two weeks now and today was her first weigh in. I finally trusted her enough to be weighed and not try to escape haha. I popped her in a box in the weighing bowl and she seemed quite happy to just sit and poke her head out... well for long enough for me to take a photo anyway. I think she's about eight weeks old now and she weighs 69 grams. I also did a full head to tail heath check on her and all looks well. I do love my little princess

My boyfriend is the same! We've had hamsters before but not for a few years & this is the first time I've used the internet instead of books as a hamster care resource. The running joke in our house when the other has been waffling on about a hobby the other isn't really interested in is "I care that you care....." Or "this one time, at band camp". That's when I know I need to shut up. For all of about 2 minutes.

Re: Little Luna
So I tried to take a nice little Halloween themed picture for the photo contest... Luna had other ideas.
"This is my good side mummy!"

Re: Little Luna
So I've had Luna nearly 2 months now. She's getting all grown up I've had a lot going on recently so not posted but I thought I'd give you guys a little update.
Luna's now got a new house from p@h which she loves chewing and climbing on. She's got a ladder with a hammock hanging from the wire roof of her cage which I haven't seen her use much but I think she's still a bit wary of it. She's also got a large ferplast carry case/travel cage thing which she seems comfortable in.
Here's some pictures
