No, its a hamster chew from petsmart. I saw it and thought it was so cute and it will wear her teeth down too. Win win!

So this is an update. Twilight has been warming up to me, but I'm worried about her tonight after just waking up Twilight of course ran on her wheel. Then while taking some pictures and talking to her she just fell asleep. I thought maybe she passed out but I rustled some bedding close to her and she woke up. She ate a little and is now running again. Maybe I'm over reacting but the clerk at the pet store I got her from dropped her when getting her out of the cage. My hubby had to hold me back from slapping her after scooping Twilight up!

And here's some pictures updates:

She is so pretty! They do take breaks when running and lay down. I think the posture somehow helps them cool easier. You could put a tile in there and see if she'd like laying on it. Tiles stay cool.

When I got my Nutmeg, she was about a year old. She'd never had a wheel and would run on it until she was exhausted. Then she would just flop down and fall asleep. Young hamsters can do this too. They use up a lot of energy and then just conk out. I wouldn't worry. Just monitor her and if it become a problem then you can have a vet see her.

Twilight thanks you for stating on her prettiness...haha. She such a little madame. What type of tile? I have some pieces of slate, will this be ok?

I think the petstore never let her have a wheel either. I'm already watching her for signs of pregnancy so I'll watch for that too. Thanks

A tile like you would use on your bathroom or kitchen floors just put it somewhere in the cage so they can lay on it to cool off. a chunk of slate would work nicely too. I have piece of polished granite in each of my hamster tanks, along with a big slate rock under Margo's water bottle, and several smooth river stones in Lucy's tank. All of these are good 'chill out' places for a hamster. Ceramic mugs or dishes work well too

I just a piece in her tank under her water bottle and she loved it! She went right over and layed down. She thanks you very much.

How is she doing? She seems to be a very chunky hammy and I believe her "due" date, if she is pregnant is the 15th? She really reminds me so much of my Sandy Bear, who has gone on to the Rainbow Bridge.
