Did you say he or she was housed with a male at the store? In the last photo she (or he) looks a bit pair shaped. If she is actually female she could be pregnant. You might want to prepare for that just in case...

The cage had a label that said her and another hamster was male. The other one was smaller and his (or her) hair stuck out in all angles (no skirt) but I am really not sure if it was male or female. I know she was being harassed for a while though because all she did was sleep the whole way home (she tried in the cage at the store but her cage mate kept chancing and pouncing on her).

I will take a picture tomorrow. I did as you said and marked on my calender 16 and 18 days from when I got her. I just adopted a female dwarf hamster that had 3 pups. Will the care for a pregnant Syrian be any different? I have her in a 30 x 24 Super Pet My First Home for Exotics, Large (I cut the height in half because I was worried she'd fall) will this cage be a escape hazard for the pups? The possible dad (her cage mate) was a cream banded...should I worry about her and the pups health? Thank you

We got Jocardi at Pets First. The lady refused to sex it saying they couldnt take responsibility in case they got it wrong.

Well, although it's definitely clear that she is a girl, it's not so definite as to whether or not she is pregnant. :-/ Just to be on the safe side, keep her on a good healthy diet and see how she goes as the 16 day mark comes up. They usually get more obviously larger at the end of the pregnancy. Keep an eye on her and let us know how she does.

I will definatly keep and eye out... the 16 mark is Sept.15 but I plan to take photo's every other day so see if that tummy grows
