This is one of my favorite pictures of her so far. This is from the day I got her. Picture credit actually goes to my best friend. She's so curious and cute ahhhh. I love it. What are some things hamsters really love to chew (and that's safe for them?) I have some toys for her, but she seems to only like chewing the carrot and I'm worried about her teeth in the long run.

Fab photo! Captured a moment!

We give Neptune monkey nuts and bonio dog biscuits (original) to chew and he loves them!

Hi Tinka. Milk bones and greenies are okay for her. I get them for my crew and they love them. Good for their teeth too. You might also consider getting the Harlan Teklad 2018 block food from TheCraftyRat.com. It's a whole block food with all the nutrients in it (no more pellets left behind by hammy ). I use it along with a hamster mix because it's nice and hard...good for hammy teeth and it ensures healthy hutrition. I also give them Hamsteroids...little cubed mineral blocks. They are also good for the teeth. Hope this helps.

That last photo should be framed!

Oh! Thanks so much! This is really helpful. I'll try milkbones first, and I'll probably end up getting her a block anyways just to make sure she's getting nutrients.

Here she is being so freakin cute. She is so daring. She never runs from my hand, instead she comes right up to me and climbs up my arm. Being held is not her favorite thing in the world, but she tolerates it okay when I have to take her out so I can clean her tank. Also, her little cut has scabbed over and it doesn't seem to bother her. I just have to get that metal bottle hanger outta here before she hurts herself on it again. I have no clue why she insists on chewing it.

She's just the cutest little ham. You will also want to replace her wheel too. Those aren't good for their feet. It's better for them to have a solid surface. Try either the Silent Spinner or the Wodent Wheel. They also have come out with a great wheel called the Carolina Storm and they can be used with a stand or attached to the side of a cage. They aren't too expensive either.

Yep, other people have made me aware. I just ordered her a new, solid wheel off Amazon. It should be here Sunday.
