Exclamation ~Syrian Hamster Care!~

I want to know EVERYTHING you know about syrians! And I mean EVERYTHING! Anything. Even if it takes a day to scroll down i'll still read it. It's you're time to shine! +You would be helping me out! I need names, breeds, photos, patterns, prices, cages, aquarium tips, cleaning, grooming, and more! PLEASE just comment! No harm done!

Questions like:
1) How long does the average syrian get?
2) What type of bedding is best for syrians?
3) Are syrians very loud and active at night?

Stuff like that!

It would be better if you looked at the existing information in the different categories of the forum, then only create a new thread if you can't find what you're looking for.

GIYF......short for Google is Your Friend.....asking everyone here to tell you everything about hamsters on a number of simultaneous posts? Without any real question? Is just bad netiquette no matter how you slice it. People were 'shining' just fine before you gave them the chance, k? Real questions, issues are taken very seriously here, and often the end of a google search on many topics.

Expecting people to just rattle off hammy facts does no one any good. I'm definitely not in a position to speak for this site? but as an internet user , yes.....learn just a bit of online etiquette and you'll get further, anywhere you go.

Hoppy, I suggest you focus on your robos and being a better owner to them before you get a new pet.

It is not possible to list everything about Syrians. Doing a simple web search or look at the HC wiki would be better.

Okay... But I was just wondering about anything. If you want to tell me tips and be the bigger person, i'm okay with that. But I have already looked up a fair amount (a week full worth) and I know the basics. It's just that I have never owned a syrian before. I'm not expecting anyone to reply, that was YOUR decision. And I am being a great owner to my roborovskis. I just don't want to have to rush all the information in when the time comes that I DO get a Syrian. What's the point of Rushing if you can be ready? I mean, if you want I can ask specific questions. Anyway, Thank you for at least taking the time to respond.

Er.. Sorry to be blunt, but how exactly do you figure that one?
I for one don't plan on giving you information about Syrians for you to just go ahead and ignore it like you did everyone's advice about your Robo's.

About 13cm
2) What type of bedding is best for syrians?
Anything except the cotton wool type.
3) Are syrians very loud and active at night?
Mine aren't most of the time, I guess it depends on the hamster and the cage.

At least I'm not dumb enough to put syrians together. I'm asking about real things. Only Opinons were shared on those groups. I decided on going by facts if thats such a crime. Are you going to answer my questions or not Spyro?

HoppyHammy I mean this in the best of possible ways but when a load of us took the time to give you robo advice you went ahead and ignored pretty much all of it (so chances are at least a few do feel you've acted against the best interests of said robos). That makes it hard to want to write lots of advice as I personally don't really know I expect you to remember or follow it and I suspect others on the forum feel the same. Thats probably why you're not getting the answers you were hoping for.

My main tips? Read as much as you can on the forum, spend time with your robos and get as good an idea of hamster behaviours and the like as you can, think carefully before buying anything (even something as simple as the food bowl) and take your time over it all.
