I can't believe how much Willow has grown since I've had her, which is about 2 months now.
I'm guesstimating she was about 8 weeks old when I got her, she's a petshop hammie so I can't be sure of her exact age but she was in a tank with a few other Syrians so she must have been fairly young. So by my reckoning she is probably about 4 months old now
She is my first hamster so I don't have any comparisons, but she has more than doubled in size since she's been with me. I wish I had weighed her when she moved in but I was too busy watching and getting to know her for that to have crossed my mind
Anyway she has grown so much and looks pretty big to me so today it finally dawned on me that I should weigh her!! She tipped the scales at 180 grams, is that good, bad or average for a girl her age?
What do your Syrians weigh?

Hi Willow Wisp, I would say that was fine for a pet shop ham, as long as you are giving her a balanced diet.

Neptune, who is a breeder ham, so generally much bigger, is almost 4 months weighed in at 258g a few days ago...chunky boy I know!

And there was me thinking Willow was huge LOL, honestly she looks it to me, but I have no comparisons I only know how much she has grown since she's been with me
She eats for England too LOL, there's no worries with her diet, she's a pleasure to feed, I haven't found anything she won't eat yet
