Take your time, there is no rush to name him. When you find the right name you will know.

He's absolutely adorable, you are such a kind soul! I've been taking all of my inspiration for names from fantasy novels and your little guy looks like a cute little Frodo to me

well, between the SO, my mum, the children and myself we've dwindled names down to
Benny - which really seems to be sticking to him for some reason.
and Ozzy - my SO is a metalhead -.- and he claims the little guy is black and rescued on the Sabbath day (sunday) - hence Black Sabbath & Ozzy Osbourne connections.

My mum dislikes Ozzy Osbourne... but even she agrees the name Ozzy is cute, but for some reason she just can't get Benny out of her head.

So, he's either a Benny, or an Ozzy. Nothing else seems to fit him right.

If I'm honest, I seem to have a theme;
Gloria (the Golden Girl)
Charlie (the Chicken - timid) - its an affectionate nickname, I promise :3
so by definition of my own "theme" he should be Benny; cause he's the baby.
Benny (the Baby) although I think Benny but Benjy pops in occasionally

So, Benny he is

Everyone, meet Benny, Benny meet everyone :3

So, I wanted to update everyone tonight on the "bitey, nervous and mean" little rescue hammy.

He truly, truly lives up to his previous owners description, he is an utterly despicable creature, spawn of the devil... right, like you guys are gonna fall for that huh? :P didn't think so!
Ok, in reality, little Benny is such a sweet little guy; he's adventurous, he hasn't bitten, he's happy to take treats from my hands, he's wolfing down the baby food again tonight + his usual dry mix, and tonight he had sooo much energy for such a tiny hammy!
We did a little taming in what I call the taming pit, and he was doing great! He took food, let me stroke and even got adventurous enough to try to climb up my arm... so with him having so much energy and I already had the playpen out for Gloria, I gave him a shot in the playpen. He was a little nervous at first, but a few minutes in he was tearing around like he'd been there forever. Diving off things, running up every available surface - like a mini stunt-ham x3 he is very funny to watch.

Playpen time only lasted around 10mins as I felt he was getting a little over excited which kind of defeated my objective - to burn some excess energy, so he went back to his cage and promptly began to tear around climbing monkey style on anything he could hold onto.
I watched him for a while and he managed another 5 minutes before getting a drink and heading back to bed for a nap. bless. all the excitement wore him out.

I've discovered his favourite treat so far is definitely a raisin :P but, just wait, once he tries a grape that'll change, it did for Gloria!

I took pictures, but they're on my mum's ipad and she's "busy" I'll post them up as soon as she releases the evidence of what an awful hammy Benny is. such savagery...

Benny sends Grampa's Sunday Lunch hugs - yeh, he's been paddling in it, sorry

I like the choice of name Benny, spyro. It suits him very well.
