Meet Percival (call me Peri) Fluffybottoms. He is my first hamster in almost 20 years. So far he likes the wheel, the sand bath, almonds, and spinach. This is the fourth night I've had him, and he seems to be settling in after a scared first couple of nights. I picked him because he is cute, and because he let me pet him and pick him up the pet store, which he still lets me do although I have been trying to leave him alone as much as possible until he gets used to being here. I finished his bin cage last night and put a Habitrail loft on the lid tonight, so hopefully he'll be happy. I need to add a few things for climbing on, too. I read this forum and other sources for hamster info for the last 3 months or so to prepare for getting a hamster, so I finally decided I may as well join so I can have a place to brag about him and get info and wonderful cage ideas for when IKEA opens here in the fall. Thanks to all of you for all your work and attention to keep a place like this great forum running! Let's see if I can attach some photos:
Hmm, only one photo. Here's another then:
And one more:

Re: Percival Fluffybottoms
I love his name! And his house! And...everything! It's funny that I've never seen a stand alone water bottle holder in any of our pet stores. I do like yours, I wonder if I can order one?

Re: Percival Fluffybottoms
Thanks everyone about the ceramic bottle holder, it's Petco brand and I found reviews and questions and answers about it on Petco's website, but it's not listed for sale anymore. Too bad but it looks like it has been discontinued. It really is a good product, it is filled in the bottom with ceramic so it is heavy and won't tip over. If you have a Petco nearby they may have them on clearance. I got the blue wheel on clearance also for $1.25, and the living room furniture set for $0.75. It was my lucky day!
