Biscuits thread

So I introduced Dexter to the forum the other day so it's only fair that Biscuit has her own thread too!

I fell in love with Biscuit 6 months ago when I was browsing for toys for Dex in P@H. I always have to look in the adoption tanks when I'm in there.(I know I shouldn't! I nearly bought 2 buns home yesterday!) She had a label on her cage that read along the lines of 'my owners didn't want me any more can you take me home?' (They really know how to pull on the heart string eh!) but anyway I left the store still thinking about her.
2 weeks later I'm back browsing and she's STILL there. That was my sign! She needed to come home with me!! I rushed home. Spent the whole day knocking together a bin cage and rushed back early evening to collect her. Thank goodness she was still there!

She is an extremely gentle ham and in comparison to Dex she's tiny! Very friendly and nosey! She has a love for shredding cardboard and munching cucumber!
I like to think I've rescued her and I hope she prefers my company to her previous owner!
She's not as photogenic as Dex I'm afraid! But I'll keep persevering!

Awww she is a little cutie! And it must've been meant that she has her home now with you, and will be loved and cared for.

We are going to look at the adoptions later, just to look....still missing Apollo and maybe he'll choose one for us that needs love.

Lovely hamster, so glad you saved her!

I almost took home a puppy last week with a sign that said, "My owners hate me. I just want to be loved."


And an older dog with a sign that said, "I was forced to have 4 litters, back to back. I just want to be someone's baby for once."

Why do they do this to us!?!

She's lovely! I'm glad our pet stores don't do that. They legally can't sell cats and dogs unless they are from the shelter.

The worst are kijiji ads when they say if the ham doesn't get adopted it will be snake food

Ahhh biscuit is so cute! Love the name! I had a look in the adoptions bit before spotting humbug, just fell in love with her... think I'll stay away for a little while lol, I'm a sucker for a fur baby sob story!

After lots of patience and time Biscuit is now happy to be snuggled and held hurrah! She's a pain to take a photo of so here's my best one..

I've had a break though with Biscuit! She's finally confident enough to eat on my lap I managed to catch it with my iPhone so excuse the shoddy angles and me cooing at the end!
