Introducing Waffles!

Hi everyone! I am very excited to introduce my first Syrian hamster named Waffles, a mink banded longhair (I have only had Campbells). I have had him for a few days and he has settled in wonderfully. Waffles is getting used to me and I started to tame him in the bath tub this evening when he was awake. He enjoyed being petted, held and liked to snuggle with the blankets I put down in the tub. He is such a lovely ham and has a very sweet temperament. My favorite color is dove (one of my Campbells is dove) and I initially thought Waffles was dove until I noticed that he had cream rings around his eyes indicating mink, so I will be interested to see how the color develops as he gets older too. Thank you for letting me share my new addition!

Awwww, he's cute! And I love minks, they have a lovely one at my petstore, if he could only live with Colby! I had Cambells before my first Syrian, Colby Jack, so we're in the same boat!
