New Ham, colour?
This is my new Hammy female named Pebbles, I got her 2 days ago from our local Just for pets. They always have beautiful hams there and this one is from the same breeder as my last female Violet (avatar) As with Violet I had spotted this one before Christmas and vowed I would go back and get her if she was still there in the new year, lucky for me she was. The lady showed her to me and like Violet was already very tame. As she awoke I saw she was a lovely patchy silver grey colour, very white underneath, no cheek flashes, has the spectacle eye rings, anyone tell me what this colour is?
She is settling in really well and already enjoys her wheel and investigating cages, hasnt made her nest in the house I got, but made a small open one. Its lovely having a young ham again, you forget how lively they are after caring for an oldie.
Am on an apple mac and dont know how to get pics on here but Pebbles pictures are in my gallery.

Aww what a sweetie she is.
She looks a little similar to my Timi; perhaps a lighter shade. And I'm pretty sure Timi is a silver-grey Panda colour variant. =3

I'm not the greatest at colours and I'm sure an expert will be along in a bit, but for what it's worth my guess is dove or possibly lilac.

Re: New Ham, colour?
I'd love to see more photos of your hammy. Probably silver sable or blue sable. I'm not sure if this combination exusts, but maybe silver black sable?

Re: New Ham, colour?
She is a silver sable meaning she has the normal sable top colour but instead of the cream under colour and eye rings she has white/silver she is not a standard colour so would go in the non standard class at a show, but I think they are so striking
She is gorgeous

Re: New Ham, colour?
I have no real idea about the colouring, but she is very pretty. I haven't ever seen a hamster with colours like that

Re: New Ham, colour?
Sorry I only saw the first pic, on looking at the second photo I now think she is a heavily marked LH sable roan which is a standard colour the roan tends to change the under colour from cream to white/silver and the fact you say her belly is all white is also down to the roan gene
Sorry ill make a note to look at ALL hammie pics in future
