Also i know sawdust is bad for rabbits and piggies...is it the same with hamsters? the lady bought her in the cage freshly cleaned out so I have left her alone in it...there is an unopened pack of sawdust that was sent with her but I think I will move straight over to megazorb?

The Mini Duna isn't too bad as a temp cage, could have been a lot worse! I'd remove her wheel ASAP though and replace it as it will do more harm than good being in there because of how small it is.

Is it actually sawdust or woodshavings? Can't tell from the pic sorry! Sawdust is bad, woodshavings is fine.

Aww, hi sweetie. She's lovely, Tory - adore the heart shaped marking . She's be fine on shavings for now, but Megazorb will be an improvement. I think your main immediate concern is the wheel - she probably doesn't use it a lot as it'll be uncomfortable for her spine, but if she does I would prioritise getting her a bigger one

The package of stuff she sent is Bob Martin 'my little friend softwood bedding' is doesnt say if its sawdust or woodshavings? how can I tell the difference?

The bits look bigger than sawdust to me, but on the small side for shavings so I can see why you'd be confused . I think again it might be good to transition her gradually to avoid getting rid of all her scent at once. Remove a few handfuls of the shavings/sawdust and add a few of Megazorb and keep doing this every few days until it's all Megazorb. I'd be inclined to ditch the package - put it on your garden or something
