Hi we have noticed tonight our Syrian hamster, Poppy, acting a little strange. She usually surfaces from 9.30pm spends a good time preening herself on one of her shelves then wants out, in which we call Poppy Playtime. Tonight she seems to be crawling round the shelf on her tummy walking round in circles with her bum in the air. I do have a general idea as to what she is doing I think she is what you call feeling fruity. I just want a second opinion.
Can you stroke her? If you stroke her and she freezes and sticks her bum in the air then she's definitely a bit fruity My Syrian used to stink when she was on heat too.
Hi thanks for your replys, she doesn't freeze when I stroke her she's too busy planning her escape, she's a little wriggler. But my does she pong tonight, sorry Poppy, but you do. So I'm going with the I'm feeling fruity mood. Sometimes when she is on heat she can be so naughty, she is my little Poppy, the diva, and I would not change her for the world.
