That's because they are the same colour 
Fatty is a red eyed cream (recently discovered to be a cream banded but his band is very faint) and Phoenix is a black eyed cream. The difference in shades comes from Phoenix being satin coated as well as other factors like Fattys fur being longer and him being older which makes his fur look washed out. The same colours can vary in shade naturally as well
