The Mischievous CreamPuff!
From my last thread in the behaviour, i have taken in a very mischievous Syrian that will gnaw anything in sight. Her name so far is 'CreamPuff' with the additional 'Gnasherina' 'Stitch' and several more..
I got her for p@h adoption, feeling sorry for her.. I knew from the gut feeling i should of picked the one that looked like a cow but i thought 'this wee fella needs more love' but what i didn't know about her was that she was a 'ragin' chewer.. so far shes chewed her way through 4 cages, tubes/rings, water bottles, wheel, anything wood too.. i've had her at the vets for a teeth check sadly to be mortified that she bit the vet a good one and squeaks.. She's not very keen on being picked up and is very squitterish..
Her box on the journey home didn't last long...
I have more photos of her but on a different SD card which i cannot find but here's some from my phone.
Her glass tank? i know she needs a wheel, She just destroy the one she had..

Re: The Mischievous CreamPuff!
Tonight, CreamPuff thought 'yes..chew everything and make so much noise'..safe to say i was force to sleep on the sofa after 3am and woke up to a lovely sore ear and crooked neck and in a delightful mood for an early waking for college..
I'm hoping she stops soon as it's getting to a point now that i'm going to try rehoming her to someone who has more experience with a hamster like this..

Re: The Mischievous CreamPuff!
Hopefully she will calm down after being stuck in these teeny glass tanks (like Peanut was) with only a water bottle, food dish, and a chew thing. When I brought Peanut home she went bonkers with the space and gnawed everything in sight! For night after night until she started bar chewing and got dumped in to a bin cage.

Re: The Mischievous CreamPuff!
What about giving her a whole white toilet roll to destroy? It's quiet and safe?

Re: The Mischievous CreamPuff!
Some millet spray too? Go ultra deep with substrate so she can tunnel, like half the tank. How big is that tank? She might need more space? But whilst you can't get her a bigger tank I'd def recommend Filling up the tank with layers of substrate! The cork tunnels from zooplus are huge - she could chew on one for ages and it'd take a while to get through.
Dog biscuits? Food she has to work for...
And a really big wheel so that hopefully she'll find a new obsession (running)
