Have changed from a modular cage now to prevent further chances of breakout, just took time to afford a new cage.

He once spent THREE WEEKS living "free range"....found lots of cavity wall areas to inhabit where I could hear but not get to him so I renamed him Hardy for surviving!

I think one name change is enough, though.

Houdini seems a lovely chap. Don't you just love their white gloves?

Hardy has a dinner jacket effect with a white stripe down his tummy too! lol
Wow 3 weeks ats crazy!! am sure you were chuffed when you got him back . Awww thank you and yes i think there sooo cute!! , they could be twins :P lol x

I never knew anything about hamsters until Hardy and now I love them. Such characters! each so different but all so loveable.

At least because he was noisy I knew he was still alive...I think in the first three months of our acquaintance he was in his cage less than living "free".

I do tell him that the flat is not a big cage for him but he is still reluctant to accept that. Last break for freedom was a leap from my shoulder (no mean feat as I am six foot tall and was standing!!) but he was located less than 24 hours later when he roamed near my Syrian girly's (I had to call her Laurel, couldn't help it) cage....I think she attracts him like nothing else I could try....and believe me in the past I have tried everything! Lol

How old is Houdini? He looks in his prime.

He is not much older than Laurel then. She was born on 14 July and she is 3 months old this week.
