Default My latest ham ham

Hey everyone.

This is Misty!

She's ruby eyed, and a very thin white stripe on her tummy, from her chin to her tail. What 'variety' would you say she is? Sorry the pic isn't great but she won't come too close to me at the moment!

Aww she's cute - she looks like a Mink or a Dove, I can't quite tell from the picture and the two colours can look fairly simillar on young hamsters. Minks tend to go more orangey-brown as they get older and Doves don't.

Our Toby is a mink (there are pictures of him on my website - link below) and Jane's Charlie is a Dove - there are pics of him all over the forum (!)...perhaps looking at them would help (although Toby is lighter and sort of greyer than his pictures make him look).

He's a beauty and I agree with Holly, definitely mink or dove. I have photos of short haired minks that I've put on as links below

Old Spud (note how orangey in comparison!)

And Jane's beautiful Charlieee can be seen on this post

Aww he is one cute ham. I agree he is likely a dove or mink though I side with dove slightly
