Default Adding a door to a wire cage?

i have a peggy metro and my baby syrian loves it. However, i don't love the tiny door on top! I can barely get my hand in. What I want to do is create a larger door that opens from the side, not the top. Has anyone managed to do something like this? I have a few spare pieces from an old wire cage I got at a boot sale...

erm well i'm not terribly good a D.I.Y but i guess if you cut a square out where you wanted the door. then using the wire you cut off hook or bend the bottom over the bars (like normal doors are done) then make some sort of lock system at the top.

Its possibly just needs some D.I.Y people to help more

Is pretty easy to add doors - if you have an old cage door is even easier just need some good wire cutters and something to file down the sharp edges with. I've managed to fashion and add doors using playpen panels.
Just bend the wire over to form a hinge and use clips to keep shut.
