These did make me chuckle! Our hams certainly have a way of letting us know what they want! Rabbit will turn her back to us whilst sitting in her wheel and won’t make eye contact if I have not get all of her belongings in the right place after a clean. She will also climb the bars and chomp on them until we get her out and put her in her playpen. She does not do that at any other time - it’s her signal she wants to come out!! X

Lol We've had some banging at various times as well. When it's feeding time.

Last night i sat on the floor feeling absolutely knackered trying to digest the day's events. I was so tempted to skip setting up the hamster playground in the hall just the once.

Rodney was free roaming and kept running from hamster room to hall and back.
Then he climbed up my legs and up my front, paused and stared at me. I put him back on the floor just for him to do exactly the same thing again.

Got up and put the blanket, a couple of wheels and a few long tunnels down with Rodney waiting by the door.

Soon as i was finished he run through the tunnels and did a quick spin on the wheel before returning to the hamster room for his usual climbing expeditions.

No doubt that he was trying to tell me to get up and get that playground sorted.

I gave tiny Clarissa a bigger wheel because i thought the old silent spinner was too small but she often sat on it washing. Clarissa had chosen a small, pretty ceramic hide as her toilet a while ago.

Clarissa relocated her toilet into the bigger wheel.
I know that dwarfs pee while wheeling but Clarissa is not passionate about wheels like some of her neighbours and she has two wheels in her habitat.
She had stopped peeing in the ceramic hide altogether and peed in the wheel only.

So i thought that if that's what she thinks the bigger wheel is only fit for i just as well take it out and put her old one back in.

She sniffed the old wheel, run on it briefly and peed in the ceramic hide again.
