Default Ivanhoe, Desi Bear, Von Muffling, One Round

As I have not posted for a while here is an update. In the last 3 months we have lost 4 of our babies to old age I hasten to stress!

Our courageous Desi who many of you will know finally left us on 3rd Jan 2010 at nearly 3 years of age. Despite being frail and elderly this little chap hung on in there far longer than we ever expected and we are still not used to his absence.

Von Muffling and One Round went peacefully and at good ages but our biggest shock was Ivanhoe who despite appearing fit and healthy sadly died last weekend of a massive stroke.

RIP babies

So sorry to hear of your losses Catya. I remember Desi and his story so well. It must be a hard blow to lose so many in a short time.
Play well at the bridge little ones

I am so sorry Catja, one hamster dying is hard enough, but to have 4 in three months is just awful. I hope you are ok, my thoughts are with you.

Hi, thanks guys. The consolation I do have I feel is that all were oldies who had enjoyed a happy life I hope with us even if in some cases their start in life had not been ideal.

After having them so long it is strange though that they are no longer around!
