Rodentsrule,
Please don't blame yourself for this accident. I'm sure your friend feels even worse about this then you. Us humans have a knee jerk reaction to unexpected pain and we tend to shake our fingers to be free of the pain. The mourning of a pet is often hard, but do remember you gave Theodore the bestest of life and he surely appreciated you and your kindness. Try to remember the happy times you had and thank the Lord above for all the times spent together. I'm sure if Theodore could speak to you right now he'd not want you sad that he left for Rainbow bridge.
Big Hugs to you during this hard time of pet ownership

I agree with Nancy. I'm so sorry this had to happen to you but rest assured that Theodore, along with Alvin and Punkin had the best of lives with you. It seems as if Theodore was your heart hamster, and no hamster can replace that bond. But rest assured Theodore is looking down at you from rainbow bridge and wouldn't want you to be sad.

Sending a bunch of hugs and good vibes your way. <3
