Arwen the Mischievous Piggy Princess & Hinata Her Royal Sidekick

Thanks so much, Thin Lizzy, BP, and Sasha - Arwen and Hinata popcorned with joy at hearing your lovely compliments and then played a very LONG round of catch before finally taking a few quick sips from their bottle and eagerly awaiting me petting them, lol. Thin Lizzy, I got quite giddy when I saw Arwen and Hinata wearing Snickers's costumes, but I have to admit I couldn't help but being quite a bit teary-eyed, too. BP, Arwen certainly didn't approve of her pepper; I think she is probably the only piggy in the world that doesn't seem to enjoy her fresh veggies much. I think she loves to dare to be different from the rest, lol. Sasha, I just couldn't help myself by carving the bell pepper, too, and seeing if Eros wanted it for her Halloween costume. I was planning on sewing a special Robin Hood costume for her to wear and already had created a pattern for it, but I didn't have any time so I decided it would probably have to wait until maybe next year, lol.

Sasha, since you love close ups so much, here are two more for you to enjoy.

Mum: "Treats. . . . who wants a nice and yummy pepper treat?"

Hinata: "Wheek, wheek!!!! Wait just a moment. . . what do you mean that I have to hold the pepper in my own mouth, Mum?"


Hinata: "Look at this face; you couldn't possibly deny this face, could you?"



Mum: "Oh, Hinata, I could never deny you anything at all! Your melting chocolate, "deer" eyes get to me every single time, and I love you so. O.K., I will most definitely hand feed you every single, tiny morsel of this pepper and all future pepper pieces, too. You certainly have me wrapped around your tiny paws if I may say so myself, lol."


Mum: "Aren't you desiring some peppers this morning, Arwen? You are a piggy after all, and plenty of scrumptious and juicy, fresh veggies will make you a very, VERY healthy piggy, you know?"

Arwen: "You are joking, right Mum?"


Arwen: "You must be addressing another piggy, right? Hmmn, could that piggy be way over there? I'm certainly not volunteering to munch on that pepper!"


Mum: "You silly and fussy, little piggy; I suppose I will just have to trick you into eating your veggies and fruits with this heart-shaped treat instead. Oh well, at least you eat your veggie and fruit treats and you totally adore your fresh Timothy hay. You stole my heart at first glance so I suppose it is only fitting that you eagerly accept heart-shape yummies, too. I totally adore you and all of your silliness, too."


Arwen: "Wheek, wheek, Y-U-M!!!"

Here is Hinata and Arwen eating. Don't you just love how Hinata enjoys having all four paws on the edge of her and Arwen's bowl? Arwen, on the other hand, just digs right in without worrying about paw placement, lol.

Awww so cute and such beeuutiful piggies! Some wonderful photos this time dreamtree. No wonder you love and indulge these two. I would hold the pepper for Hinata all day! She is adorable. You have also managed to capture great expressions on Arwen too. A piggie who is not keen on fresh veggies? Didn't know there was such a thing! Our last piggie, called Sandy, (went to the bridge many years ago but an adorable boy) used to wheek wheek when he heard the fridge door being opened, let alone when the veg arrived at his cage!

Aww! Hinata on the bowls is too cute. And Arwen is pretty as ever. Can't believe she doesn't like veggies though - at least she looks happy with the heart treat

Livedinhogwarts, Coco, and Mangoandmimi - thanks a bunch. Yes, I'm still trying to find a fresh veggie that Arwen will devour excitedly. She and Hinata will popcorn and wheek when I open the fridge door and come over to their cage. However, as soon as I offer the veg, Hinata will come running and Arwen looks suddenly disappointed about my offerings. Lol, if I didn't know any better, I would wonder if she truly was a piggy after all. Every once in a while, I will convince her to nibble on a few pieces of greens (she only accepts kale) but she isn't eager about it. I'm not one to give up though so maybe with persistence she will truly acquire the taste for her fresh diet. She will do absolutely anything for a huge pile of Timothy hay though. Coco, I'm truly sorry about Sandy's passing. Even though it has been years, I know you must still miss him and the joyful sounds of his wheeking for veggies.

Just to prove a point early this morning, Arwen wanted to show me and all of her other fans that she actually is a "true" piggy and decided to accept a bunch of kale without any extra encouragement needed from me, lol. Of course, she ran away with a piece of her veggie and made a few, extra silly faces in the process but, thankfully, I was able to capture the moment on camera. As expected, the veggie-loving Hinata wheeked with happiness at receiving her fair share of kale, too. Then, when I thought there was no way Arwen would ever come back for a second helping of kale, she hopped off her pink castle and grabbed another large piece of it from her bowl. She sure surprised me! Lol, I suppose she must have realized that I was posting about her not being too interested in her fresh veggies. I hope these pics put a huge smile on your face just like it did on mine.

Aww! I can’t take the cutness! The close ups made my day thank you Arwen and Hinta for being adorable and Dreamtree for getting amazing photos! Haha! The commentary between you 3 haha! What sweeties munching on kale! I love the first one of Arwen muching on the kale, he looks like such a sweet little piggie!
