Cypher The squabble wasn't too bad, but it can definitely scare you if you're not used to hearing mice!
BorisPasha, thank you, it's been difficult losing them. However, I hope wherever they are now, they're happy and free. Their squabbles are very dramatic. Mice are much like humans I find, they spend more time yelling about rather than actually fighting (they're similar to humans in more ways than that of course!)
Thin Lizzy, thank you, I am thinking of adding a few stones or flowers to the ham garden for them I was quick this time, but I've not always been! Where I used to volunteer, the bins were never secure enough, and the Syrians used to get out and fight. I'd have to jump in ASAP to stop either one from seriously injuring one another. Breaking up small animal fights is a skill of mine
Today's update will be on Tobias, or Toby
Today, he is getting his cage cleaned. Of all my mice, he by far smells the most horrible. I personally feel mouse urine smells buttery with females, and like pretzels with males, but he takes this to a whole new level. Toby is the only male mouse of mine who tolerates being handled- he's an absolute sweetheart. Here are some pics of him

BorisPasha & Cypher Toby appreciates the love! People always do laugh when I describe their urine this way, but it's all I can think of. He smells much better now
AprilPearl Thank you for your kind words. It was very upsetting during Rinn's euthanasia, I cried a lot. However, I'm sure they're somewhere beautiful now
He is so lovely. My other male, Neville, needs to work on his people skills! He also needs to gain a bit of weight. Have you ever considered pet mice
I am so sorry to hear about Rinn and Fluffy. Its so sad that you lost them so soon but I'm sure they were very gratefully that you provided them a loving and caring home.
All your mice are absolutely gorgeous! Love their ears and tails!
The squabbles weren't as bad as I thought they would have been - I did sound worse than it looked. Glad to hear that Mishka wasn't hurt by Shina - and it lovely to hear that they are getting along better now!
SKB Thank you for the condolences xxx
I do love their little tails, they feel so silky and wonderful! Tonight they got on very well, I'm hoping they'll become a permanent mousey clan soon!
Here are some updates on all the little ones...
Neville- Neville has begun to let me pick him up in the playpen. I think this is a good sign that he'll become handleable
Toby- Toby has been his typical sweet self. Tonight he did pee on my bed, which was.... a lovely surprise lol
Mishka- Mishka has taken huge leaps from when I first got her. She used to be a nervous, scrawny, and reclusive little mouse. Now she's the fattest of all my mice, a real fiery character, and happy to come out and greet me on a nightly basis
Whiskey- Whiskey has sooo much energy. She runs in circles all night long, I'm a runner and it's tiring even for me! She's a bit too skinny for my liking (Mishka must be taking all her food) so it's time to fatten her up
Shrew- Not much has changed with Shrew. Although, we do have a new nighttime routine. As I get ready to feed the trio, I open the lid and she runs circles around the rim of the tank before I lift her down to the food bowl.
Shina- Shina has become so much more lively getting to hang out with the trio during playtime. She was looking rather gloomy before, but she must enjoy the companions!
Introduction night part 2 went smoothly. I was expecting tussles, but only one or two actually happened. I'm very pleased, and really look forward to permanently introducing Shina. Tonight they all happily groomed
Glad the introduction was successful! Look at their tails in that video - I can't get over how long they are, really makes me want to touch them. So, I'm guessing mice are more social than hamsters (obviously!) - do they need to live in groups, or is it more that they can live in groups?

From what I've found with previous research, females really need to live with at least one other mouse but males do not do good at all when not housed one mouse to a tank/cage.
