Lovely photos of the girls, I like the names too
Shrew does sound remarkably confident & Whiskey sounds so sweet & tame, hopefully that will rub off on their shyer sister with a little time.

They are all very cute! I’m sure you will get them alltamed with time. Don’t have any experience of mice - are they more difficult to tame than hamsters?

Agh all my pics are gone

Updates on the mice!

All three are doing exceptionally well. I've made slight progress with Mishka, and Whiskey seems to be over the biting. What I find interesting about mice is that they need weekly cage cleans and rearrangements. Much different than hamsters who are quite the opposite. If I leave my trio's cage any longer than a week, it gets a bit whiffy. Mice have a very buttery scent I've found

Tomorrow, I'm off to the reptile show (which I attend several times a year) because I love reptiles. However, there will also be a mouse breeder there and I'm thinking of getting a male mouse. I hope to share some pics of the show- if you guys don't mind snakes, spiders, and lizards! Perhaps I'll just attach the photos so you can view at your discretion..

I will be sharing pics of the rabbits, rats, hamsters, and mice they have there though

Hope you're all having a good week

Thank you for the update, how mice differ from hamsters.
I've got a feeling you might come home from the show with more mice lol!

You know me well lol! I came home with a few more additions than I bargained for. However, I have the tanks, space, and time. They were about to be fed to the snakes and after seeing the lot before them, I couldn't let them be eaten!

Thank goodness you were there and rescued them, the though of them being fed to the snakes is horrible. You're so organised having tanks at home.
Am I right on thinking they would be alive when fed to snakes?

They're definitely very lucky to get rescued!

Sadly, there are some unfortunate mice(and even other animals)who get fed live to snakes It's really unnecessary and for the most part highly discouraged in the reptile community(for reasons other than just cruelty, especially being so incredibly unsafe and easily avoidable with convenient frozen thawed choices).

It definitely is sad, and cruel to both the reptile and rodent! I know it's the circle of life, but I feel that every mouse needs a home. Turns out I may have a pregnant female on my hands! Better start looking for homes. I always have lots of bins and tanks lying around as I used to be very into fishkeeping. Now I just have loads of empty cages that are too small for hamsters, and I'm not in the market for any more gerbils. I just enjoy making bin cages for literally no reason, which sometimes comes in handy

That's just so horrible I'm glad you were there to rescue them Drago I'll look forward to seeing some pics of your new additions once you've got them all settled.
