They are lovely, and you had an amazing idea buying that toy for the photoshoots.

I have mix feelings with their tails. I think that from a distance it's something that makes them even cutter, but I start to have doubts when I pay close attention to how they are, because they have like rings, and I imagine how they could feel, and I think about reptile skins (and I have phobia to reptiles, particularly snakes), so it gives me the creeps. Anyway, I would love to have a rat, no matter how their tails look or feel like.

I know the tails can be creepy to some people, but even if they did feel like reptile skin that's not too bad!The best way I can explain that however is that reptiles feel like a nice smooth leather, definitely not slimy or too rough I'd think rat and mice tails are at least a little different though,as they technically have hair on them.

Drago, I just found your mousey thread, and I love it. I think that these three mice must be the most gorgeous mice I have ever seen! I totally love their satin sheen and their stunning coloring. I especially love the pattern on the "white head" one - how unusual! My three most favorite pics of them on this thread are: the one with the mouse's bum being reflected in the mirror (how glorious to show your cute bum from all angles!), the one with "white head"'s face being reflected in the mirror ("Mirror, Mirror, on the wall - who's the fairest of them all? Why, you of course "white head"!), and the last one with "white head" peaking from behind the towel. I absolutely love the castle prop, and am so glad that you were able to find such a lovely find at a garage sale. Isn't it funny how someone's unwanted can become someone else's cherished treasure! I can't wait to see how you make use of it in many other photo shoots.

Drago, you do realize that we are now hoping for a new thread on your beloved, crested gecko Mila, right? Hee-HEEE!!! Keep the new threads coming because I am a total fan!!!!

Thank you all, I'm loving these three!
To answer the inquiries I've gotten on their tails, they are very smooth and silky. They're not cold like gerbil tails are. They're also very prehensile and will hook around my finger when they climb on my hand which is irresistibly cute!
All three have names! Shrew obviously is still Shrew, the orange and white one is now named Honey-Whiskey or Whiskey (/Whisky, I spell it with an e for some odd reason!) and the red eyed mouse is now name Mishka. All three are absolute sweethearts, but are all polar opposites! Whiskey is very outgoing and energetic- running everywhere constantly. Shrew is a little sweetheart, she is curious and loves to curl up on your hand and explore in your sleeves. Mishka is a shy little mouse, she rarely comes out when I'm around, and will hide whenever I approach. I'm trying hard to earn her trust!
Here's some pics from today's playtime

Whiskey!

Shrew being adorable as usual

Shy Mishka never plucks up the courage to play I wish I could help her become more confident..

The neighbors shared some toys with the mice

Taming is going... well it's going. Whiskey is skittish when lifted, but loves sitting on my shoulder and climbing all over my hands. She however, has developed a bad habit of nipping when she plays in my hand. When mice nip, it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as a nip from a hamster much to my surprise. However, if they get you in that spot (right in the edge of your nail and skin) it hurts! I didn't appreciate that from her. Mishka has made no progress with taming unfortunately, minus the fact that she'll occasionally leave the nest if my hand is in the cage. I need to work on confidence building with her, but she hates treats so she won't come out for those. My hopes are that she'll follow the crowd (AKA shrew and whiskey) once they're tame. Shrew has been excellent with her taming. She'll sit on your hand, and then shimmy up your arm to her freedom lol. She loves being pet and getting to take a ride on hands. My neighbor's children wanted to meet the mice and much to my surprise, when I turned to see what the kids were up to, they held a content little Shrew in their hands! I had never scooped shrew up as I didn't want to set the taming process back, but the kids did it and she had no problem with it. After I tried it, I realized she didn't mind me doing it either! Keeping my fingers crossed these guys warm up more, and little Mishka gains some confidence

Sorry for rambling

Drago, I just love the pics of your three, gorgeous mice, and I love all of their names, too. I have to say shy Mishka peeking out from the top of her tissue box is truly quite adorable. I do hope that she will be more confident soon so she can enjoy playing with you as well. I am sorry that Whiskey bit you, but I am glad that she loves spending time sitting on your shoulder and climbing in your hands. Hopefully, she will not nip you anymore. It is wonderful that Shrew is so confident and her taming is going well already. I know that it must be so exciting for you.

Aww another mousey update! I've never been a mice/rat person but I think I'm warming up to mice thanks to this thread and your three lovely girls!

I think Shrew's my favorite. She's super cute! That picture of Mishka is darling

Hopefully little Mishka will warm up to you and Whiskey won't be so nippy! Glad to hear Shrew is a confident little girl. Best wishes with taming!

Lovely pics of the mice, glad you've settled on names for them all now.

I know how hard it is when you've got a shy one, I'm the same with Jaska. Hopefully though Whiskey and Shrew will help to bring her out of her shell but I'm sure she'll soon warm to you

So lovely to see more pictures of your beautiful mice. Their names are very sweet.
Its also nice hearing about their individual personalities but I'm hoping that Mishka gets more confidence, but Whiskey and Shrew might help her to become braver!
