Default 10 gallon tank- how many mice?

I just need a bit of a refresher as to how many mice can live in a 10 gallon. Females of course- but I may be taking in a trio. I have a spare 30 gallon if a 10 would be small for a trio. Thanks

A 10 gallon tank is merely the bare minimum of space for three mice, which really isn't good As for the 30 gallon,it could work nicely for a trio.
